The main focus of this meeting is to establish what your needs and expectations are, what we can and can’t do to satisfy these needs, what our responsibilities to you are and what your responsibilities to us are. At this meeting we will thoroughly examine your hair and scalp, determine if you are a good candidate for one or more of our procedures, measure the affected area of hair loss, calculate the size and number of follicular units necessary to produce the best result, and give you a complete cost. We will review in detail all of the procedures and products that we offer and determine what will be the best path forward for you. We will present our financing programs and if interested apply with you for immediate knowledge of your method of payment options. The next step will be for you to schedule an appointment for your procedure and follow a few simple pre-op instructions.
A confidential examination and education.
The day of your procedure arrives and when you come into our clinic you will be the center of attention and the main focus of Dr. Boles and our staff. We then review with you and the entire team the design, layout, graft amount and placement. Once we are all on the same page we will administer sedation and prep you for the procedure. Dr. Boles will numb your scalp with local anesthesia and begin the graft harvesting procedure. Depending on the procedure method agreed upon will determine the next steps. If we are doing a FUT, Follicular Unit Transplant method, Dr. Boles will make the incisions and remove a strip of follicle rich tissue and cosmetically suture the incised area. If we are doing FUE, Follicular Unit Extraction method, we will use the appropriate automated instrument to remove individual follicular units without producing a linear incision. We use both Dr. Harris’s Safe System and Dr. Cole’s Vortex Unit which are state-of-the-art extraction tools.

Using a stereomicroscope or magnification device, the harvested follicle rich tissue is dissected into follicular units which naturally contain one, two and three hairs. The follicles whether obtained by dissecting the harvested strip or extracted individually with an automated tool, will be trimmed, counted and placed in preserving solution ready for grafting.

Dr. Boles will make the tiny recipient site incisions in the design layout, angle and quantity to produce the predetermined result approved by the patient. The surgical technicians then insert the individual grafts into the recipient sites in the pattern and size dictated by the surgeon.

Before the patient is discharged, the procedure is reviewed and care instructions are given for the night after surgery. We provide a hotel room close to the surgery center to make it easy for the patient to return the next morning for more complete care instructions along with our aftercare kit.

Capri offers our patients injections to promote the healing process and to facilitate the growth factors contained in our blood supply. Everyone has dormant hair follicles under the skin that can be stimulated and fed by this procedure.
We strongly believe that the addition of FSG to this procedure will be the future of non-surgical hair restoration. An amount of fat obtained from the stomach area is processed to remove a concentrate of cells that are added to the injection treatments to take advantage of the body’s natural abilities to heal and promote the growth of dormant hair follicles.
